Salary packaging a car could save you time and money
Permanent and fixed term employees of the Department of Education could be eligible to take out a novated lease – meaning you could salary package a great car, get a good deal through our 700-strong national dealer network and potentially save on tax.
So how does a novated lease work?
Put simply, a car is leased in your name via your employer, and instead of paying for it with after tax income, your lease payments and running costs are sourced from a combination of your pre- and post-tax salary.
Added to that is the convenience factor. It’s something we call “Leaselation” and it’s the feeling you get when you know all your car’s lease repayments and running costs – fuel, insurance, servicing, tyres and the like – are rolled into one regular payroll deduction. No bill-shock. No hassles.
